CASSIDY MCFADZEAN is the author of Hacker Packer (McClelland & Stewart 2015), winner of two Saskatchewan Book Awards and shortlisted for the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award. Her poems have appeared in magazines in Canada and the US including Prelude, Witch Craft Magazine, PRISM international and Best Canadian Poetry 2016. Cassidy is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and is currently at work on a second collection.
ULRIKKA S. GERNES was born in 1965 in Sweden of Danish parents. In 2001 A Sudden Sky: Selected Poems, translated into English by Per Brask and Patrick Friesen, was published by Brick Books. Frayed Opus for String & Wind Instruments, the second translation of Ulrikka’s work published by Brick Books (2015), was a finalist for the 2016 Griffin Poetry Prize. She lives in Copenhagen, Denmark with her daughter Perle.
