For some time now, I’ve carried a deep affinity, admiration, affection for Cameron Anstee and Jo Ianni, both for their poetic loves/aspirations, writings, their penchant towards the ‘elegant,’ their passionate regard for the field. Cameron’s Book of Annotations (Invisible, 2018) and subsequent [KFB Fertile Select] chapbooks Lines & Baseline Variations (St. Andrews, 2021) are cherished upon my own Small Press Bookshelf, as well as numerous Apt. 9 publications. And Jo, fellow colleague at Hoa Nguyen’s Sundays, the finest of inquire-ists, his love for all things Wave (Joshua Beckman) with two online gems, wtfisapoet x 2 that are a continuous joy to engage with.
So, thank me lucky stars, our final KFB in store reading launches Anstee’s newest collection, Sheets: Typewriter Works (Invisible, 2022) supported by Ianni’s inside inside inside published by Anstee’s press.
I cannot imagine a more fitting closing matinee.
