We’ve been referring to this as a ‘chapbook,’ when in actuality it’s two chapbooks in a 52 page book called FLIP, She Doesn’t Come Back & Send My Love to Ivy by The VMB, Victoria Mbabazi.

I first encountered Mbabazi in their debut, chapbook (Anstruther Press, 2021) pissed myself laughing and immediately wanted more.

From their opening poem SUN FUCKED to MY GENDER IS WHATEVER SONG IS PLAYING Mbabazi plays it as it lays

But we both know that deep down / The feeling still deep down / It’s good

What a dream to serve up this beauty.
