MANAHIL BANDUKWALA is a Pakistani-Canadian writer and artist. She is the author of Pipe Rose (battleaxe press, 2018) and is on the editorial boards of Canthius and In/Words Magazine & Press. She was selected as a Tree 2018 Hot Ottawa Voice. Her work has appeared in or is forthcoming in The Puritan, Room, The Poetry Annals, Parentheses Journal, Coven Editions, among other places. She is currently completing her undergraduate degree in English and Women’s and Gender Studies.
JACQUELINE BOURQUE grew up along the ocean shores of New Brunswick. She spent the better part of her career in Ottawa working as a communicator for a public sector organization. Her poems have appeared in a number of chapbooks, anthologies and journals, including The Fiddlehead, The Antigonish Review, Queen’s Quarterly, and The Dalhousie Review.
JACLYN DESFORGES is a writer, editor and writing workshop facilitator whose work has appeared or is forthcoming in Contemporary Verse 2, Minola Review, untethered, Mortar Magazine, Cathexis Northwest Press, Literary Mama and Peregrine. Her first picture book, tentatively titled Why Are You So Quiet?, will be published by Annick Press and released in 2020. She’s the winner of the 2018 RBC/PEN Canada New Voices Award for her short story “The Gall,” and is currently completing her MFA in creative writing at the University of British Columbia. She lives in Hamilton.
OUBAH OSMAN is a Somali-Canadian writer from Toronto. She has been published in Room Magazine, The Puritan, and Unpublished City Volume II. She is an MFA candidate at the University of Guelph.
AARON TUCKER is the author of the novel Y: Oppenheimer, Horseman of Los Alamos (Coach House Books) as well as two books of poetry, Irresponsible Mediums: The Chess Games of Marcel Duchamp (Bookthug Press) and punchlines (Mansfield Press). His current collaborative project, Loss Sets, translates poems into sculptures which are then 3D printed (http://aarontucker.ca/3-d-poems/); he is also the co-creator of The ChessBard, an app that transforms chess games into poems (http://chesspoetry.com). He is a lecturer in the English department at Ryerson University (Toronto), teaching creative and academic writing. He began his doctorate as an Elia Scholar in the Cinema and Media Studies Department at York University in the Fall of 2018. EUGENIA ZUROSKI is a teacher, researcher, editor, and writer. She works in the department of English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University and lives in Hamilton, Ontario.
